Join Us Sunday

Communion – Like most Disciples congregations, we share in communion together each week. Everyone present is invited to share in this time at Christ’s table, without exception.

Music – While our music generally trends to be more traditional styles and hymns, we enjoy variety of musical styles. In addition to congregational singing, our choir and guests vocalists/instrumentalists also share music in our worship experience.

Prayer – Prayer is an important part of the worship experience as we pray for joy & concerns within our congregation as well as for our community and world. Occasional reflective prayer practices also help us engage in prayer together.

Scripture & Sermon – Each week we read scripture together, followed by a sermon. We sometimes use lectionary texts and at other times do thematic or seasonal series.

Giving – We give to support the ministry of mission of the church. Giving is never required and offering boxes are located at each entrance to the sanctuary.

Special Seasons – We also follow the liturgical church calendar, which helps us mark time and rhythm to each year, including seasons of Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter.

Younger Children & Worship – During the school year months, children 4 years old through 2nd grade leave in the first part of sanctuary worship to participate in Children Worship & Wonder, an experience that helps children engage a Biblical story in a reflective way and that also provides room and space for children to express themselves in a variety of ways.
